Deadly K2 Accident
In case you hadn’t seen this already… 11 people have died on K2 - the second worst accident in the Himalaya. I guess a serac collapsed above the bottleneck, taking out the fixed ropes and trapping eleven climbers high on the mountain. It is assumed that all eleven climbers either froze to death or fell trying to cross the bottleneck without fixed ropes.
